Brief
The garden was created from
scratch on a sunny slope. The client was a retired professional who
actively wanted to encourage wildlife whilst being able to look after the
garden despite the relatively steep gradient that existed before
construction started. The planting needed to show off flower, foliage and
berries to attract a range of insects and birds into the garden.
Gardens
with slopes can often be a challenge and tend to require slightly larger
budgets as there is more construction work. However, intelligent design
takes into account the advantages of having different levels in a garden
such as this one.
